North Campus and Hyde Park

Located in Central Austin, just North of the University of Texas, are the North Campus and Hyde Park neighborhoods. These two neighborhoods stretch from 29th street to the South, W. 51st street to the North, Duval street to the East, and Guadalupe street to the West. This historic area traces its origin all the way back to 1891. The Hyde Park neighborhood is considered to be Austin’s first suburb. Much of the Hyde Park and North Campus area is made up of residential housing, with single-family homes making up 95% of the buildings in the neighborhoods. Like West Campus, these neighborhoods offer a wide range of housing options to suit the eclectic Austin population.
