West Campus is also home to over 50 Greek organizations, 12 Co-ops, as well as countless businesses and restaurants. If proximity to the UT Austin campus is your #1 priority, look no further than West Campus properties!
Located in Central Austin, just North of the University of Texas, are the North Campus and Hyde Park neighborhoods. These two neighborhoods stretch from 29th street to the South, W. 51st street to the North, Duval street to the East, and Guadalupe street to the West. This historic area traces its origin all the way back to 1891. The Hyde Park neighborhood is considered to be Austin’s first suburb. Much of the Hyde Park and North Campus area is made up of residential housing, with single-family homes making up 95% of the buildings in the neighborhoods. Like West Campus, these neighborhoods offer a wide range of housing options to suit the eclectic Austin population. North Campus and Hyde Park are famous for their dining scene, shopping areas, and local (weird) Austin businesses. For the true Austin experience just a stone’s throw from Campus, Hyde Park is the place for you.
Located five miles north of the UT campus, the Far West neighborhood is a great option for students, faculty, and staff looking for the “best bang for their buck.” The Far West neighborhood in Northwest Hills offers some of the most affordable housing in the Austin area without having to sacrifice quality. Far West is perfect for students on a budget, for recent graduates working at one of the many businesses in the Northwest Hills area, or for anyone looking for an affordable 6-month lease. With a direct route to campus by way of the UT shuttle, Far West is only a 15-minute bus ride or a 10-minute drive away from class. Far West has been a long-time favorite destination for upperclassmen and graduate students. Far West is also home to some of the best margaritas and Tex Mex food in the city, and a range of entertainment options.
The Riverside neighborhood is one of the most affordable and exciting areas in Austin right now. Home to a wide range of apartments and housing, the East Riverside and Oltorf neighborhoods are another popular spot for students and young adults in the city. Riverside area complexes are located along a UT shuttle route. If you like great food, shopping, live music, or running along Lady Bird Lake—Riverside might be the place for you. The Riverside neighborhood has recently seen a huge wave of redevelopment to the large complexes in the area, and there has been construction of many, new luxury buildings. Exciting things are happening down in the East Austin Riverside neighborhood. Be sure to call up one of our agents and check it out!
